Finalmente se cambiará el uso del albergue y se convertirá en centro de menores, al menos de manera temporal, hasta que se construya el nuevo centro cuando exista dinero para el mismo o se encuentre otra solución. Es la única opción que de viabilidad al problema de los Menores Extranjeros No Acompañados que tutela la Ciudad y que deben abandonar los actuales centros que ocupan por las malas condiciones en las que se encuentran y por orden del Estado.
