One out of three childrenis victim of trafficking. And two-thirds are girls. These are the alarming and shocking data contained in the annual reportreleased by the UNODC that has observed 132 countries. The most part comes from Asia and Africa, where they are put to prostitution or forced to work illegally. Not only. It also seems that they are victims of human trafficking for the trade in organs. Anyway, the news lies in the fact that this situation has been getting worse in the former Communistic Bloc, where children born in disadvantaged families are the most vulnerable. In Romania, for example, there are 84, 000 children living with just one parent or other relatives, a situation comparable with that in Moldova and Bulgaria. Such panorama offers traffickers an ideal opportunity to take advantage of such povertyand lack of education.
