Marist Youth Care is a nonprofit agency focused on helping young people at risk and their families. Their programs and services have been specially developed to give young people the support and skills they need to take their rightful place in the community. The organization also provides housing and support to unaccompanied minors who are refugees. Their 'continuum of care' model is supported by partnerships and associations with other agencies and service providers, which allows them to tailor programs to suit the needs of every individual as they progress towards independence.
Cate has played an integral role in the development of programs and workshops so that the hardships youth face are lessened through the education and support that they require and desire. She has been responsible for overseeing the implementation of suicide prevention programs and residential programs as well as creating awareness in the equality and importance of people with disabilities and those who are less fortunate.
