In Brüssel wird heute über Asylverfahren und Aufnahmebedingungen für Flüchtlinge verhandelt sowie darüber, wer für Asylgewährung zuständig ist – über das also, was in der Dublin-II-Verordnung festgehalten ist. In diesem Kontext hat die EU-Kommis­sion versucht, Verbesserungen für die Flüchtlingskinder zu erreichen, damit die Kinderrechtskonvention der UN endlich europaweit umgesetzt wird. Vor allem wollte sie das Inhaftieren von Flüchtlingskindern in Deutschland, Griechenland und anderen europäischen Staaten endlich beenden – und festschreiben, daß unbegleitete Minderjährige nie inhaftiert werden dürfen. Der Bundesinnenminister will das verhindern. Deutschland will mit Unterstützung anderer Staaten an der schäbigen Inhaftierungspraxis festhalten. Diese Haltung des Bundesinnenministers ist borniert, herzlos und kinderfeindlich.
