Iniziativa nell’ambito del progetto “Running together”
Attivo presso la sede Caritas in Via di Porta Ardeatina 108 il Centro di Aggregazione “Running Together” per minori stranieri non accompagnati. Il centro è promosso dalla Caritas di Roma nell’ambito del progetto “Running Together, giovani del mondo cittadini d’Europa” finanziato con il Fondo europeo per l’integrazione per i cittadini di paesi terzi.
Il centro accoglie giovani promuovendo attività sportive, teatrali e attività multimediali. Grande importanza è data alla formazione con corsi di formazione professionale, di lingua italiana e corsi di avviamento alla scuola.
Nel centro è inoltre previsto uno sportello di segretariato sociale per supportare i giovani e le associazioni nelle pratiche amministrative con l’ufficio stranieri.

What’s happening in Texas reflects a nationwide trend: Immigration by undocumented children under 18 is on the rise, even as fewer adults come into the country illegally.
The Border Patrol apprehended24,481 unaccompanied children in 2012, more than three times than in 2008. Of that total, federal authorities referred a record 13,625 children to another part of the federal government, called the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) within the U.S. Health and Human Services. This agency is responsible for the care and custody of minor children while their immigration status is considered.
