Maggiore impegno a livello nazionale ed europeo. Questa è la richiesta della Commissione, contenuta nella relazione presentata alla fine di settembre. Il miglioramento delle procedure di accoglienza di questi soggetti è auspicato anche dalla commissaria per gli Affari interni Cecilia Malmström.

Six youngsters with migration detention experience in countries like Australia, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Norway and the United States use the theatre techniques and multimedia to depict the impact of detention. They have collaborated and learnt new skills during a one week workshop in Geneva and will deliver the presentation to States and Organisations present at the United Nations Committee on Child Rights’ Day of General Discussion (DGD).

La Guardia costiera ha soccorso la scorsa notte, 56 miglia a sud di Lampedusa, in acque maltesi, 166 migranti - tra cui 34 donne e due bambini - che erano a bordo di barca in legno di 10 metri in avaria. I migranti sono stati trasferiti a Lampedusa a bordo di 3 motovedette della Guardia costiera. Il barcone, poco dopo il trasbordo dei migranti sulle motovedette, è affondato.
