I joined a leaving care team in children's services in June 2009 and the majority of my caseload are refugees: young people whose childhood was disrupted by manmade emergencies to such an extent they were placed in harm's way and sought protection in the UK.
The team supports looked-after children and care leavers from the age of 16 to 21, or if in education up to the age of 25. We support refugee and asylum-seeking children and young people that have been referred by the UK Border Agency through a rota system.

Appel à occuper la mission Mineurs Isolés Etrangers du Conseil général d'Ille-et-Vilaine.

La mission se trouve dans l'espace Anne de Bretagne au 15 rue Martenot.
D. est congolais. Comme le précise son extrait d’acte de naissance, il est né début 1995. Il a 17 ans. Depuis plusieurs années, ses parents ont disparu après avoir participé à une manifestation de l’opposition au régime de Kabila. 
D. a été recueilli par son oncle, militant d’opposition, mais celui-ci a été interpellé fin 2011 si bien que D. a lui-même été recherché par la police congolaise pour avoir caché des documents appartenant à cet oncle. 
Après avoir été accueilli plusieurs mois au Congo-Brazzaville, le 22 avril 2012, D. a été aidé pour fuir en Europe. Il est arrivé à Rennes le 23 avril 2012.

It has postponed the closure of a centre for unaccompanied children seeking asylum because of fears more illegal immigrants could attempt to enter the country with the extra visitors for the Games.

Lo Yemen, a causa della gravissima crisi umanitaria del Corno d'Africa sta registrando un numero senza precedenti di rifugiati e migranti africani. Infatti, nei primi quattro mesi del 2012, secondo quanto riferito dall'Onu sono più di 40 mila le persone che hanno raggiunto il vecchio regno di Saba. Le notizie circa i minori stranieri non accompagnati sono molto preoccupanti dovrebbero essero circa 5 mila se le notizie fossero confermate.
