The illegal crossing of unaccompanied minors from Mexico to the United States increased considerably during the last seven months, compared to the same period in 2011, say immigration authorities.
So far this fiscal year, which started on October 1, a total of 15,590 solitary immigrant children have been arrested, compared to about 10,770 in the same period in 2011 and 13,267 in 2010.
